Who files this form

Use 2025 Wisconsin Schedule MA-M to claim the Wisconsin manufacturing credit. The form provides calculations for individuals, partnerships, tax-option (S) corporations, C corporations, and fiduciaries.

If the amount on line 11 is zero or less, the form says to stop because you do not qualify for the manufacturing credit.

What you'll need

Have the information needed for the lines that apply to you:

  • Your name and identifying number.
  • Production gross receipts, all gross receipts, cost of goods sold, direct costs, and indirect costs.
  • Average values of land and depreciable property owned or rented and used in manufacturing, both in Wisconsin and overall, if completing lines 12b and 13.
  • For Part I questions A and B, the Department of Revenue account number from the 2025 Business Activity Roll and parcel number from the 2025 Notice of Real Property Assessment.
  • Entity names, FEINs, and credit amounts for manufacturing credits passed through from other entities.
  • Schedule CF if you have an unused manufacturing credit carryover or do not use the credit in full.

Single-entity corporate filers also need the amount from Form 4, line 11, or Form 4T, line 10. Individuals and fiduciaries need the tax and business credit information requested in Part II.

How to file

The supplied form does not give a mailing address or e-filing directions.

Common mistakes

  • Not rounding amounts: The form says to round amounts to the nearest dollar.
  • Continuing when line 11 is zero or less: Stop there. The form says you do not qualify for the manufacturing credit.
  • Missing the all-Wisconsin shortcut: If all manufacturing activity occurred in Wisconsin on property assessed as manufacturing, check line 12a, skip lines 12b and 13, and enter 100.0000 on line 14.
  • Including pass-through income on line 15f: The form says not to include partnership or tax-option (S) corporation income there and directs you to line 17.
  • Leaving out Schedule CF: Include it for a carryover on line 19 or if the credit is not used in full on line 22.
