PTE-100TC: Summary of Tax Credits (2025)
West Virginia · WV Tax Division · Used for tax years 2025
West Virginia Form PTE-100TC is a summary of tax credits allocable by S corporations and partnerships to their shareholders or partners. It reports the credit calculated on each applicable schedule and the available tax credit for the current year.
Who files this form
S corporations and partnerships use the 2025 PTE-100TC to summarize tax credits allocable to their shareholders or partners.
To claim a tax credit, the entity must attach this summary and the appropriate credit calculation schedules or forms to its return, subject to the Neighborhood Investment Program exception described below.
What you'll need
- The entity name and FEIN, which are requested on the form.
- The appropriate calculation schedules or forms for the credits claimed. PTE-100TC lists the supporting documents beside the credits.
- A completed allocation schedule for each tax credit claimed. The allocations will be reported on the shareholders’ or partners’ K-1 or K-1C.
- A Department of Agriculture Certificate if claiming the Farm to Food Bank Tax Credit.
If claiming the Neighborhood Investment Program Credit, keep the WV NIPA-2 credit schedule in your files. You are no longer required to enclose it with your return.
How to file
- Enter the entity name and FEIN on PTE-100TC.
- For each credit claimed, enter the credit calculated on the appropriate schedule and the available tax credit for the current year in the corresponding columns.
- Add the credits above line 21 and enter the totals on line 21.
- Complete an allocation schedule for each credit claimed. Report the allocations on K-1 or K-1C.
- Attach PTE-100TC and the appropriate credit calculation schedules or forms to your return. For the Neighborhood Investment Program Credit, retain WV NIPA-2 in your files instead of enclosing it.
Common mistakes
- Claiming more than the allowed tax liability. The form warns that the total amount of credit cannot exceed the tax liability for that tax credit.
- Leaving out required attachments. Both PTE-100TC and the appropriate credit calculation schedules or forms must accompany the return to claim a credit, except for WV NIPA-2.
- Skipping credit allocations. The entity must complete an allocation schedule for each tax credit claimed, with allocations reported on K-1 or K-1C.
- Failing to keep WV NIPA-2. Although this schedule no longer needs to be enclosed with the return, it must be maintained in your files.
