SC1040TT: South Carolina Individual Income Tax Tables (2025)
South Carolina · South Carolina DOR · Used for tax years 2025
The 2025 South Carolina Individual Income Tax Tables list tax amounts by taxable income range. Each row shows the lower and upper limits of an income range and the corresponding tax.
What you'll need
Have your SC1040 available. The Tax Rate Schedule uses the South Carolina income subject to tax from line 5 and directs you to enter the calculated tax on line 6.
Common mistakes
Do not use the Tax Rate Schedule if your 2025 taxable income is less than $100,000. The form specifically requires you to use the Tax Tables instead.
Questions people ask
How do I find my tax in the 2025 tables?
Find the row where your taxable income is at least the first amount but less than the second amount. Read the tax listed under “Your tax is.” For example, taxable income of at least $50,000 but less than $50,100 has a listed tax of $2,361.
What if my taxable income is $100,000 or more?
Use the 2025 Tax Rate Schedule. Multiply the amount on SC1040, line 5 by 6%, subtract $642, and enter the result on line 6.
Does the Tax Rate Schedule apply to every filing status?
Yes. The form says to use this schedule for any filing status claimed on SC1040 when taxable income is $100,000 or more.
What calculation does the form show for $101,000 of taxable income?
The example multiplies $101,000 by 6% to get $6,060, then subtracts $642. The resulting tax is $5,418, entered on SC1040, line 6.
