- Missing attachments: Include the complete 2024 federal partnership return and required schedules. Include Schedule OR-AP if business activity occurred both inside and outside Oregon.
- Not reporting partners’ shares: Each partner’s share of an Oregon modification or credit must be reported on their federal Schedule K-1, Schedule OR-K-1, or equivalent.
- Sending cash or an unnecessary voucher: Do not mail cash. Do not use Form OR-65-V when sending payment with the return.
Questions people ask
When does the form call for the $150 partnership minimum tax?
Enter $150 on line 3A if the partnership answered yes to doing business in Oregon and yes to having Oregon-source income or loss, Oregon resident partners, or both. Otherwise, enter 0. The form also directs filers to see the instructions.
How do I figure the tax due or refund?
If line 3A is greater than prepayments on line 3B, subtract line 3B from line 3A to get the tax due. If prepayments are greater than line 3A, subtract line 3A from line 3B to get the refund.
What if the partnership did business inside and outside Oregon?
Use the Oregon apportionment percentage from Schedule OR-AP to figure Oregon-source income, and include that schedule with the return.
How are Oregon modifications and credits divided among partners?
Generally, each partner’s share is figured using that partner’s profit/loss sharing percentage. Report the share on the partner’s federal Schedule K-1, Schedule OR-K-1, or equivalent.
What if partners have self-employment income in the TriMet or Lane Transit District?
If the partnership answers yes to question 7B or 7D, the individual partners must file Form OR-TM and/or Form OR-LTD, or the partnership may elect to file on their behalf.
