IT-647: Farm Workforce Retention Credit (2025)

New York · NY DTF · Used for tax years 2025

Form IT-647 calculates the New York Farm Workforce Retention Credit. It reports eligible farm employee information, credits received from partnerships, New York S corporations, or estates or trusts, and any allocation between beneficiaries and fiduciaries.

Who files this form

Use Form IT-647 to claim the farm workforce retention credit as:

  • An individual sole proprietor, partnership, or fiduciary of an estate or trust that earned the credit.
  • A partner, New York S corporation shareholder, or estate or trust beneficiary receiving a share of the credit.

If you earned the credit directly, line B asks whether your federal gross income from farming is at least two-thirds of your federal gross income from all sources in excess of $30,000 for the tax year. If you answer No, the form says you do not qualify.
