Questions people ask
How is the historic barn rehabilitation credit calculated?

What employment incentive credit rate applies?
The rate depends on the percentage in Schedule B, Part 1, column H:
- At least 101% but less than 102%: 1.5% of the investment credit base.
- At least 102% but less than 103%: 2%.
- At least 103%: 2.5%.
Which employee percentage do I use for each succeeding tax year?
For the first succeeding tax year, use line 14, column H to determine the rate for line 17. For the second succeeding tax year, use line 16, column H to determine the rate for line 18.
How is the addback for an early disposition calculated?
In Schedule A, Part 3, divide unused life in months by useful life in months. Multiply that result by the total investment tax credit allowed for the historic barn rehabilitation. Add the column H amounts, including totals from additional Forms IT-212-ATT, and enter the total on line 12 and Form IT-212, line 27.
