- Generally, flow-through entities other than electing large partnerships stop at line 7. Follow the form’s special directions for your entity type.
- Leave line 10 blank if the result is less than zero. Leave lines 14 and 15 blank if their results are zero or less.
- Read the line 2 instructions before completing the Line 2 Worksheet. If you complete more than one worksheet, total the amounts on line i for entry on line 2.
- If there was prior recapture on the building, consult the instructions before completing line 7.
Questions people ask
Can I report multiple buildings on one Form DTF-626?
No. Complete a separate form for each building to which recapture applies.
Where do I report recapture passed through from an entity?
Skip lines 1 through 7 and enter the recapture amount on line 8. The form identifies partnerships, New York S corporations, estates, and trusts as flow-through entities.
Does the form include interest in the recapture amount?
Yes. Line 11 requests interest on the line 10 recapture amount, and line 12 adds those amounts. IRC § 42(j)(5) partnerships instead use lines 16 and 17 to add interest to the line 7 amount. The form refers to instructions for calculating interest.
Where is the building’s remaining credit carryover shown?
Line 15 shows the low-income housing credit carryover attributable to the building. Subtract line 12 from line 13, and leave line 15 blank if the result is zero or less.
