Questions people ask

What credit rate does the form use?

Schedule A uses a rate of 20%. Multiply eligible real property taxes on line 1 by .20 to calculate line 3.

Where do I report credit received from a partnership?

List the partnership name, EIN, and credit amount in Schedule C. Enter the total on line 14 and carry it to line 4.

How much credit can I use on Schedule B?

Line 13 is the smaller of line 7, the total credit computed for the current tax year, or line 12, the credit limitation. To calculate line 12, subtract the $25 tax limitation on line 11 from line 10. If line 11 is greater than line 10, enter zero on line 12.

Where do I report credit recapture?

Use Schedule D. Add the recaptured credit on line 15 and your share of recapture from partnerships on line 16. Enter the total on line 17 and carry it to line 6.
