PIT-PV: 24. 2025 PIT-PV Payment Voucher (Revision)

New Mexico · New Mexico TRD · Used for tax years 2025

Form PIT-PV is New Mexico’s Personal Income Tax Payment Voucher for a payment with the final PIT-1 return. It identifies the taxpayer, tax year, and amount enclosed.

Who files this form

PIT-PV is for a taxpayer who wants to make a payment with the final PIT-1 personal income tax return. This edition is for tax year 2025.

For an estimated payment, use PIT-ES instead. For an extension payment, use PIT-EXT. You may also pay online rather than submit a payment voucher.

What you'll need

To mail a payment, have:

  • A high-quality printed, original PIT-PV voucher, not a photocopy.
  • Your name, address, and Social Security number, plus your spouse’s name and Social Security number if applicable.
  • The tax year and amount enclosed.
  • A signed check or money order payable to New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department.
  • Your own mailing envelope.

Write your Social Security number(s), PIT-PV, and the correct tax year on your check or money order.

How to file

Pay by mail

Complete the voucher, cut it on the dotted line, and include your payment. Using your own envelope, mail both to:

New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department

P.O. Box 8390

Santa Fe, NM 87504-8390

Pay online

Go to Taxpayer Access Point (TAP). Under GENERAL TASKS, select Make a Payment, then Individual.

You can pay by electronic check at no charge. This authorizes the Department to debit your checking account for the amount and on the date you specify. Credit card payments are also available, but a convenience fee applies.

Common mistakes

  • Using PIT-PV for an estimated or extension payment. Use PIT-ES or PIT-EXT, respectively.
  • Entering the wrong tax year or incomplete, incorrect, or hard-to-read names and address. Social Security numbers must also be legible.
  • Forgetting to write Social Security number(s), PIT-PV, and the correct tax year on the check or money order.
  • Forgetting to sign the check or money order or include it with the voucher.
  • Using a photocopy or a poor-quality printout. Submit only a high-quality printed, original form.
  • Resizing the voucher when printing. Set the printer’s page scaling to None and cut only on the dotted line.
  • Writing around the scanline, if one appears within the bottom 1½ inches of the voucher.
  • Mailing the voucher and payment to an address other than the one printed on the form.
