- Continuing after answering “No” to a qualification question. Both questions 1 and 2 must be answered “Yes” to qualify.
- Ignoring losses from another business in the same income category. For line 7, reduce the eligible business’s income by those losses.

Questions people ask
How much credit can I claim?
Credits may be provided for up to 100% of approved assistance. The maximum credit allowed in any tax year is $1,000,000, and the credit can only offset tax on income attributable to the business that earned it. Line 12 is the smaller of line 6 or line 11.
Can I use unused credit in a later year?
No. There is no carryover provision, and unused credit is forfeited.
What if I have a loss from another business?
If the loss is from another business in the same income category, you must reduce the eligible business’s income on line 7 by that loss. For example, income from an eligible partnership must be reduced by a loss from another partnership.
