Who files this form

Do not complete DP-160 if the only credit available is the BET credit.
Common mistakes
- Completing DP-160 for the BET credit alone. The form says not to complete it if that is your only available credit.
- Not rounding amounts. Round to the nearest whole dollar.
- Applying credits in the wrong order. Research and Development, Economic Revitalization Zone (ERZ), and Granite Patron of the Arts credits must be used against BPT first. Coos County credit is applied against BET first, with unused credit applied to BPT.
- Overlooking carryover priorities. Use the earliest carryovers first for ERZ, CDFA New Investment Tax Credit, and Coos County credits. Unused Coos County credit must be carried forward as a priority to other credits.
- Exceeding credit limits. Total ERZ credit used for the year cannot exceed $40,000. The CTE Centers credit used for BPT cannot exceed 25% of BPT before credits. Total credits in Part B, line 10 cannot exceed the current period's BPT liability.
- Treating unpaid BET as a BPT credit. The form states that BET credit is applicable to BPT only if the BET has been paid.
