Who files this form

Form 80-115 is Mississippi's individual income tax declaration for electronic filing for tax year 2024. It is for taxpayers whose returns are handled by an electronic return originator (ERO).

By signing, you declare that you compared your return with the information you gave your ERO, that the amounts in Part I match your return, and that your return is true, correct and complete to the best of your knowledge.

What you'll need

Have the following information available to complete the declaration:

  • Your Mississippi income tax return, Form 80-105 or Form 80-205, for the taxable income, total tax, tax payments, refund and amount owed entries.
  • Your name, Social Security number, mailing address and county code, plus spouse information where applicable.
  • For direct deposit or direct debit, your bank routing number, account number and account type: checking or savings.

The form also includes signature and date fields for the taxpayer, spouse, ERO and paid preparer.

How to file

Do not mail this document to the Mississippi Department of Revenue.

Complete Part I using the corresponding amounts from your Mississippi return. Part II collects direct deposit or direct debit information. Review the taxpayer declaration in Part III before signing and dating it; the form also has a spouse signature and date field.

Your ERO completes the ERO declaration in Part IV, keeps this declaration and provides it to the Mississippi Department of Revenue on request. The ERO's declaration also states that the taxpayer has been given a copy of all forms and information to be filed electronically.

Common mistakes

  • Mailing the declaration to the Department of Revenue. The form specifically says not to mail it.
  • Leaving out the Social Security number. The form warns, “YOU MUST ENTER SSN.”
  • Entering cents instead of whole-dollar amounts. The form instructs you to round to the nearest dollar.
