Have the information requested on Schedule U-M ready:
- The member’s name, federal identification number, and tax year beginning and ending dates.
- The principal reporting corporation’s name and federal identification number.
- The member’s tax type, taxable-member status, and group election.
- The source of the figures, such as pre-consolidation separate-company figures, a separate U.S. Form 1120 as filed, or one of the listed pro forma sources.
- Income, expense, deduction, and adjustment figures for the schedule’s columns.
The schedule references Form 4797 for net gain or loss and Form 7205 for the energy efficient commercial buildings deduction. It does not state that these forms must be attached.
