CT-RSLP: Application for Refund of Student Loan Payment Tax Credits by a Qualified Small Business (2025)
Connecticut · Connecticut DRS · Used for tax years 2025
Form CT-RSLP is Connecticut’s application for a qualified small business to request a refund of Student Loan Payment tax credits. It reports the company’s gross receipts, credits applied against tax liabilities, and the credit amount claimed as a refund.
Who files this form
Use 2025 Form CT-RSLP if your qualified small business is requesting a refund of Student Loan Payment tax credits.
A qualified small business is a qualified employer with gross receipts of no more than $5 million for the applicable calendar or income year. Gross receipts include amounts received from all sources, without subtracting costs or expenses.
Annualize gross receipts if the application covers a short period. If current income-year gross receipts exceed $5 million, the company is not eligible for a refund.
What you'll need
Attach all of the following to Form CT-RSLP:
- A copy of the fully completed Form CT-SLP, Student Loan Payment Tax Credit.
- A copy of the Student Loan Payment tax credit voucher issued by the Department of Revenue Services (DRS).
- Proof of payment to the student loan servicer.
- A detailed schedule identifying each employee as a full-time, qualified employee for this credit.
