What you'll need

Have the following information available to complete DR 0619:

  • Your name and taxpayer identification number as shown on your Colorado income tax return. Individuals use an SSN or ITIN. Estates, trusts, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations use an FEIN or CAN.
  • For Section A, your quarterly DR 0618 vehicle credit assignment reports, including amendments, and the assigned credit amounts from your DR 0618 forms.
  • For Section B, your quarterly electric bicycle sales and returns reports showing qualified sales, returns, canceled sales, and other reductions.

Common mistakes

  • Using DR 0619 as a purchaser. This schedule is not for claiming a credit for a vehicle or bicycle you purchased. A qualifying vehicle purchaser who did not assign the credit must use DR 0617 instead.
  • Claiming an electric bicycle credit without being a qualified retailer. A bicycle purchaser cannot claim the credit even if the retailer failed to provide a discount.
  • Including canceled vehicle sales. Do not include canceled sales in Section A, line 1.
  • Failing to account for bicycle returns or canceled sales. No credit is allowed for a returned bicycle or canceled sale. Report these and other reductions on line 6.
  • Counting bicycle sales without the required discount. For each sale included on line 5, the retailer must have provided a discount at the time of sale equal to the lesser of $450 or the bicycle's purchase price.
  • Discarding executed DR 0618 forms. Keep them in your records even though they are not submitted with your return.
