Common mistakes
- Submitting the federal return: The form repeatedly says not to submit the federal return, forms, or schedules when filing DR 0112.
- Overlooking the consolidated-election commitment: The form warns that an election to file a consolidated report is binding for four years. If the election was made in a prior year, enter that year.
- Claiming too much in nonrefundable credits: The total of lines 20, 21, 22, and 23 cannot exceed the tax on line 19.
- Leaving out required supporting items: Credit lines identify forms, statements, or certificates that must accompany the return.
- Using inconsistent identifying information: The corporation name and CAN or FEIN on later pages must match page 1.
- Not rounding amounts: The form directs you to round to the nearest dollar.
