Who files this form

Arizona Form 335 is used to calculate the Credit for Corporate Contributions to School Tuition Organizations for 2025.

The form covers C corporations, S corporations claiming the credit at the corporate level, and exempt organizations with unrelated business taxable income (UBTI). It also provides directions for partnerships passing the credit through to corporate partners and qualified S corporations passing it through to individual shareholders.

What you'll need

Have the following information and applicable forms ready:

  • Your name as shown on Form 99T, 120, 120A, 120S, 120X or 165, and your Employer Identification Number (EIN).
  • Each school tuition organization's name and address, credit approval number, and contribution amount.
  • Additional schedules for contributions beyond those listed on lines 1 through 10, if needed.
  • Form 335-P, line 13, for a credit passed through from a partnership.
  • For carryovers: the taxable year, original credit amount, and amount previously used.
  • Form 300 to report the amounts from Part 3.
  • For an S corporation's Part 4 calculation: contributions from Form 341, line 11, if applicable.

How to file

Include Form 335 with your return.

  1. List contributions and approval numbers in Part 1. Add any partnership flow-through amount from Form 335-P, line 13.
  2. Calculate available carryovers in Part 2.
  3. Complete Part 3 and enter the amounts from lines 20, 21 and 22 on Form 300, Part 1, line 7, columns (a), (b) and (c), respectively.
  4. S corporations continue to Part 4 to determine whether they qualify to pass the credit through and to complete the applicable election.

Partnerships passing the credit through must complete Form 335-P for each corporate partner, include a copy with their return, and provide a copy to each corporate partner. S corporations passing the credit through must do the same with Form 335-S for each shareholder.

The supplied form does not give a mailing address or e-file directions.

Common mistakes

  • Do not omit Form 335 from your return. The form says to include it.
  • Partnerships passing through the credit and qualified S corporations electing to pass it through must enter zero on line 20.
  • An S corporation cannot pass the credit through to individual shareholders if Part 4, line 25, is less than $5,000.
  • Check only one election box on line 27. The election is irrevocable for the taxable year.
  • Do not forget to provide Form 335-P to each corporate partner or Form 335-S to each shareholder when passing the credit through.

Questions people ask

Can an S corporation pass this credit through to shareholders?

Yes, if its combined contributions reported in Part 4 from Forms 335 and 341 are at least $5,000. It may then elect to pass the credit through to individual shareholders by completing the authorization.

Where do I report a credit passed through from a partnership?

Enter the amount from Form 335-P, line 13, on Form 335, line 12.

What if I have more contributions than fit on lines 1 through 10?

Line 11 directs you to include amounts on additional schedules when totaling current-year contributions.
